That is the case with me. Some of the boards get so many posts overnight that I just reset them first thing in the morning without reading, others I go through the posts.

Thanks for keeping the site up, it's a nice distraction while Jeanne blows through.

Bob, nothing is exact. :) But there are boards I always read, and others I have marked to check in on. So I sometimes reset just to clear the ones I have marked to keep an eye on, but not read every day.

yes, there are certain boards I always read, and others I read just when I have time.

one other problem with the generic reset button is that if there are new posts posted to a bookmarked thread between the time you refresh the page and when you click reset, the new post(s) you want to read will be missed. this problem doesn't exist when you have to check boxes next to the threads you want cleared.
