My job and life have been hell with brief periods of joy (at the racetrack) for the past 16 months. I'm having the time of my life right now, though. Want Dave to delete the two posts in question? Easily enough done. I wrote the proc for that earlier today and it works nice and fast without imposing any kind of load on the system. We deleted a post that was 4000 posts deep in a thread and it took 6 seconds, despite the fact I just happened to run it at the same time that the CPU-soaking userlevel-updater was running.
