I would attribute bravery to Kerry if he admitted his liberal leanings and stopped pretending to be Everyman. It would take bravery to run as what he is, but I suspect that he doesn't believe the citizenry wants a recycled 60's war protester (with a virtual theme song of Blowin' in the Wind), whose voting record is dovish and otherwise unremarkable, and whose ideas (to the extent they exist) are more akin to Marx than Reagan or even Clinton.

Kerry never lies and is a champion of vetersans rights, has been all his life. saved lives, killed enemy, Silver Star, Bronze Star, eat your hearts our chickenhawk liars and smear artists. Remember what the same smear artists slimed McCain with in 2000. Called him a lying traitor, coward etc. too. Same exact total BC, just the opposite is true and they know it, which is what they're most afraid of, the truth. GW proved he was the coward when he and Cheney dodged the draft and GW went AWOl when it was his turn to serve.
