Exactly the same error I always have to double-check myself on. And the reason I made a backup of messages yesterday before testing the message-deletion routine.

Forgetting the WHERE clause and forgetting to do a rs.movenext in asp are my two biggies.

One of the nice things about asp.net is not having to remember the movenext. It does that for you.
