Darn it....

If you bring cable in, I am sure you could go wireless to it without a lot of trouble. Might be worth checking out.

If you are in an SBC service area, you can get DSL (and it is superfast) through your regular phone lines without interfering with your phone service.

Great DSL at a cheap price.

We can get cable, but can't link the cable to both computers because of all the books, stairways, furniture, and general location of the house. Darn it....

Get wireless. The signal even bends around books and staircases. <ggg>

Every time I compare DSL and our cable internet head to head, the cable is faster and cheaper.

We use a Linksys router and have all four computers connected to the cable modem, three of them are upstairs. They use 100 ft cords which snake up the stairs and through the halls. Red green and two blues, one blue is downstairs.

Yes, the cords look funny but we are used to them and don't even notice. Everybody automatically steps over them without tripping.

The only drawback is lifting them to vaccuum, sweep or mop.

Eventually will research wireless but two of the computers won't do, anyway, only have Windows 98.
