Do you believe the attacks will decrease once the elections are held? What if not all people can vote because of security fears; would that not mean that the new government would be starting without a mandate? What if the Sunnis boycott? What if the Shia win a majority; would the Kurds want to break off? There are a lot of bumps in the road ahead. I remember when the Bush's made it seem like the handoff was the point where things would get better; now its elections; after that, what will it be?
