I'm not at all familiar with hurricanes, though I know quite a bit about tornados and how to recognize the potential for them. There's still structural damage to some BP/Amoco oil storage tanks that took a direct hit last year just 1/4 mile from the office.

So, where are the damaging winds? Tight against the eye?
