It was NOT in contrast ti what the President was saying. THe President has said that insurgency would increase as we speed towrds elections too. I do agree that Iraqis will have to take over, and that is alreaady happening. I have listened to the reports and I have read the emails saying that slowly but surely the Iraqi are being trained and they ARE providing some of their own security. It will NOT happen overnight. Hell, even the French had to help US in our revolution...(which was about the last time they hekped us do anything but save their own arses) But notice WHO is being killed by the insurgents now....IRAQI police trainees...IRAQI guardsmen...why do you suppose tthis is?
