Dave, I noticed you now have a catch-all redirect to the home page for the old gsp links. Since message IDs and subject numbers have remained the same across versions, it should be a simply task to parse these out and append them to an updated URL segment for a targeted response redirect. This will help people that find stuff on SI via search engines. For example, if the old link stored on Google were: http:// www.siliconinvestor.com/msg. gsp?msgid=14100489 , you would parse "14100489" and append it to “http://www.siliconinvestor.com/readmsg.aspx?msgid= ”. One other quick bug fix. Notice how I added a space to the first link prior to the comma. Otherwise, the comma gets treated as part of the link and screws it up. Same deal with the closing quote on the second link. - Jeff Edit: I see you already do such parsing internally to convert old links (which is why I added the extra spaces). Same idea, obviously.
