"For the last time. I take no exception with the fact that Saddam was a bad actor." Saddam was more than a bad actor. The UN had 18 Resolutions that he utterly defied for 12 long years, including UN Resolution 667. Resolution 667 spelled out that Saddam was to immediately cease his crimes against humanity, sever ALL ties to terrorism & completely dismantle all aspects of his WMD programs in the full presence of UN Inspectors, ET AL. Any failure to comply meant he would be subject to a resumption of hostilities. Saddam thumbed his nose at all of this & continued everything in defiance of the UN. After 9/11, this type of rouge dictator who harbored, supported & trained terrorists made himself a prime target for the WOT. That he continued to pursue his WMD programs post 9/11 made his removal all the more critical. And let's not forget those crimes against humanity. Bush spelled out clearly what the WOT was about. I gave you a few choice tidbits from him about it & how Iraq was involved. He obviously feels much different than you, as did most of Congress & most of America. "I take exception to a poorly planned and executed war in Iraq, when we should have been going after Al Qaeda." The war itself was an astonishing success. The aftermath could have gone better, but it is by no means a failure. Despite BS liberal media spin, DNC & Kamp Kerry protestations, most of the country is safe & far better of now than before. The few bad areas are allowing our troops to send terrorists to their 72 virgins in large numbers over there, rather than here at home. It could be better, but it could be far worse. "Can you get this through your thick skull? Or will you cut and paste one more time from some folder you have bookmarked?" Read the thread header. Personal attacks are not tolerated. See you in a few days. BTW, you had said, "What I take exception to is half baked plans for dealing with Saddam, especially in the face of a war on terror." My replies were appropriate, accurate & debunked your opinion with cold hard facts.
