"Bush's big goof is how he went to war. He told the war was necessary at the time which he thought was necessary since "Saddam had WMD and he is about to use it.""

Apparently you never did listen to or read what Bush actually
said. And I quoted Bush extensively here earlier. What you
assert & reality are two different things. If you don't
believe me, read this.....

dev.siliconinvestor.com

Bush was clear & consistent. It wasn't how you claim it was.
You cling to false DNC Talking Points, the Kerry campaign &
the liberal media. They all lied, distorted & blatantly
misrepresented the facts.

What you can't change is what Bush actually said.

"None of his predecessors thought it was necessary to attack Saddam since they felt he was contained."

Uh, I guess 9/11 didn't change anything for you. It did for
most of America. And your statement is wrong. Bush Sr. kicked
Saddam's butt big time. How many times did Clinton bomb Iraq?
And FWIW, Clinton still agrees that Bush was right to take
out Saddam.

"Furthermore, every President consults former Presidents before committing young lives to die. That is a sense of responsibility and sensitivity that every President in the past has exercised."

Is that a fact? Care to link me to a few instances when this
actually happened & changed the course of history? Would the
former Presidents also accept full responsibility for being
wrong?

I've already said Clinton is still on record supporting the
removal of Saddam., Besides Carter, which former President
would have convinced Bush that he, most of Congress & most of
America was wrong about removing Saddam?
