The debates are a clean slate. Nothing much before them will matter after. Therefore it's like the playoffs. It's anyone's to win. Prior polls and opinions dont make a damn bit of difference.

I say that in the debate playoffs, the truth will matter much more than spin and smear campaigns. Therefore advantage Kerry. But that may only tie him with Bush, then we have the super close election, and Bush and his brother will cheat again in Florida. Much to the glee of dishonest Bushies.

Personally, I think the people that made the mistake were the networks. After the first debate, I suspect the CARTOON CHANNELS will have a greater audience then the debates. Many people, myself included, get so disgusted just listening to anything Kerry has to say that we rarely make it through even ONE speech of his. jdn
