You poor man. You being stuck behind enemy lines. We will come for you. We do not leave our wounded behind. I have known many Californians. Some went, and some came. The times I have visited, it was a bit more populous than the middle of the country. A few Acres thirty minutes from the center of town would be 10 to 100 times as expensive as it is here. There is very much intelligence in California. Many different people have pointed out that income does not equal intelligence. It also does not equal political savvy. It appears from my conservative upbringing that what the left needs is a base in noblesse oblige. It is a personal responsibility that cannot be shifted to the government. If you have been successful, you have an obligation to provide others with an opportunity to provide for themselves. It does not require handing people piles of money for going down to the welfare hall...
