The Bush campaign has gone out to the willing media to portray to the people that Bush has won. This is a deliberate strategy which was put into play with the Republican convention. But if you follow the independent and respectable pollster with a good track record such as Zogby etc. you will notice that the race is still very close.

There is an interesting parallel in the recently concluded elections in India, a nation whcih has a democratic system where the poor. hungry and the illeterate also vote. The pollstera predicted a landslide for the party in power. The poor folks wondered how they could call the elections when they did not vote. They got angrier with every poll. And on election day, those veryy people whom we despise as poor, unfed and unclothed, came out in large numbers and voted the party in power out of office. A true tribute to the power of the ballot.

I predict a similar thing is going to occur here. We too have a lot of people who are going to vote for the first time, "in a long time." The Bushies are nervous that the lead is narrowing. Not sure how many of you have heard that Ashcroft's dept. has started an enquiry into the recent registration of 250,000 new voters in New Mexico. They all registered as Democrats. There is a similar thing occuring in Colorado (hispanic vote for Salazar (D) candidate for Senate. So there is a movement out there amongst the masses. So while the CBS, CNN and FOX contiunue to spar with each other, the American people are quietly working and eagerly waiting for Novenber 2.

Make sure you vote for Kerry and also make sure that 10 other voters from your neighborhood go out and vote for Kerry.
