He won the popular vote, granted. But our forefathers in a stroke of sheer genius adopted an electoral college. This brilliant institution is in place to keep 3 or 4 cities from determining who will govern the entire USA. By keeping the electoral college, Joe average American does have a say in who gets elected. Without it, just a few cities would dictate who is Pres. That would suck, because big city people are insane. {jk}
