Cypress Semiconductor (CY:Nasdaq - news - research) Tuesday warned about third-quarter earnings for the second time in a month, citing "sustained weakness in turns across multiple markets."

San Jose-based Cypress says it now expects revenue of $219 million to $221 million and EPS of 3 cents to 5 cents in the quarter ended Sept. 26.

That marks a sharp slowdown from the second quarter when revenue hit $264.3 million.

Analysts expect the company to earn 13 cents a share on revenue of $244.5 million, according to Thomson First Call.

"There was little business improvement during the month of September," the company said.

On Sept. 3, the supplier of semiconductors for communications and other industries said it expected to report earnings of 4 cents a share to 8 cents a share on revenue of roughly $238 million to $251 million. Excluding various expenses, the company forecast earnings of 11 cents a share to 15 cents.

At the time, Cypress cited "inventory in the channel, reduced product lead times and a slowdown in the networking and wireless infrastructure businesses."

Why don't you admit that the only you will feel safe is for the US to be going into a country doing shock and awe?

What gives you that impression?
