By now there could have been a half million soldiers cleaning up the few remaining Taliban and Al Qaeda.

It's not the weeks of October 2001 that were so badly mishandled. It's the last two years where a trillion dollars and all the miltary's attention was focused on a powerless pontificate in Baghdad instead of Bin Laden.

Now AL Qaeda has had two years of freedom to adapt and deepen their cover while the U.S. has even less resources to fight and almost no allies. That is the worst military disaster since the White House was burned.
