Seems like most polls indicate the Iraqi people do not want the American presence in their country.

What polls would those be? Please be specific and provide links.

Why don't the Iraqi people stand up for democracy if that is what they want?

Are you suggesting they don't want it or aren't willing to stand up for it? Please provide some evidence to substantiate your assertion.

Seems to me that a program that truly includes the Iraqi people is the only one that will succeed.

Duh. And your point is?

Seems like most polls indicate the Iraqi people do not want the American presence in their country. They've been hit with a pretty heavy hammer. And now life is struggling to get back to normal.

What polls are you reading?

Do you have a link?

The violence is primarily limited to a few areas - Baghdad, Falluja, Najif. There are a number of provinces of Iraq where there is no violence and I daresay the people there are quite happy with the American presence.

Again, link please?
