It didn't and there was never any reason to think it would. Attempting to set up straw men now, Okra? No one has suggested that removing Saddam would have been "worth it at ANY cost." But then, you know that. Too bad you can't argue honestly.

that's a silly, nay, preposterous, what if

it didn't, we didn't, nor will we

and I'm not going to bite and play the absurb game

and to me, to be honest, we gave Iraq and it's citizens a once in a lifetime chance for freedom, for democracy, for personal rights and freedoms - they haven't picked up the slack, they're not fighting for it - now I know they're ill informed, have lived as lemmings, afraid to make a move for fear of being imprisoned or killed by the SH regime - but, imo, it isn't going to happen for them unless they actually fight for it
