You mean it was cheap then, right<g> now the deal is valued as high as $5-6 some billion

Oil sand in China: now it is already known existed in QingHai (CaiDaMu Basin), in XinJiang (ZhunGeEr Basin and TaLiMu Basin), and in Northeast, SongLiao Basin. Some people in Inner Mongolia has been using sand oil for cooking and heathing for some years. In one of the dozen main fields in CaiDaMu Basin, it is estimated 30 million tons. yeah, small peanuts comparing with Canada's, but everything counts for China<g>
