OT - Would not follow that approach - I would agree with you only if there were "reason for exceptions" and other loopholes, but if the draft would be truly for ALL and no one can hide by traveling abroad then it will be helpful.

After all it will be a period whereby each citizen gives something for his country and most activities would be for the benefit of our society and not for a "combat army"

Who ever wants to enlist to a "combat army" should do it voluntary as it is done today and take pride in his service.
