I care about my family too. But it is my wife and I who need to teach common sense about safely getting through life. But we cannot fight the taliban. We cannot destroy terrorist training camps half way around the world. We cannot take a brutal dictator out of power who ignores resolutions regulating his behavior. So get with your wife (or husband) and work with your kids on safety issues. Try to teach them to drive responsibly. Teach then not to run into the street. Try to have them eat well, sleep well and have self confidence to keep them healthy. No gaurantees, but a good chance you can raise some kids who can make it well into old age. Many like you want a gaurantee from the gov't. I want them to protect the conditions that have allowed us to excell from outside forces bent on destroying it. You know, the primary job of the government.
