I think what the problem is with the people using Netscape who are getting black on black is the Netscape setting itself. I'm using Netscape and am not getting black on black on any page. I think maybe those users have customized their colors.

Try looking in Netscape, Edit, Preferences, Appearance, Colors. Mine is set to Black text, grey (I think) background, and I've got "use Windows Colors" checked. Everything is very readable and looks good with those settings. There's also an option to "always use my colors, overriding document" .. I've left that box unticked.

Fiddling with the fonts doesn't help the large print on the main pages though, if you're also getting that.

Worth a try :)

Good luck,
Siber

Don, re "Unfortunately, since everything on the page is invisible due to the black background and black letters, navigating through the options is pretty much out of the question. "

Then how did you manage to make this post ... and another one before it?

Ron

Technological obsolescence ...

<< If it ain't broken, don't fix it!!! >>

If it ain't broken, but is technologogically obsolete, replace it.

I have a fine IBM XT with 10 MB HD if you are intersted, it even has an extra 256 kbps extended RAM. Nice monochrome CRT to match. Fully up to date with DOS 6.2 <g>

Seek to understand, then to be understood.

(I'm not going to repeat what's been already thoruoughly explained.)
