The Euro was worth about 90 cents before Bush took office.
I was in Europe a lot then, I know. The dollar is down 35% since Bush took power. Check again.

Hmm, it has been brought to my attention that I read the wrong line of the Fed's table. Oops. The correct numbers for the decline of the dollar vs. the Euro are from about $0.94/€ in Jan 2001 to about $1.22/€ now, for a 30% decline.

Still not 35% and, in any case, my point about a comparison to only one currency being invalid holds. The dollar has not fallen nearly as much against our trading partners' currencies in general.
