That is just the "glorious" reason, down deep, the honest reason is money and relatively easy live! Here in the US, a lot of work done by nurses are done by doctors in other countries, yet the doctors in the US are paid dozens of times, if not hundreds of times, more. In China, doctors explain a lot of symptoms and medicines clearly, not here. One is lucky can talk with a doctor for 5 mins. in a 30-mins. appointment. With HMO, often times, the only person I see is the practical nurse, not even RN.
