<Would you also have celebrated the defeat of the communist> I would have celebrated the victory of the Vietnamese in ridding themselves of foreign domination and having their country back -- I have no love of communism which I view as a brittle and ultimately inadequate form of government. Countries that adopt communism can make it work in the hort run of they foucs on good administration -- but in the long run it is almost certainly not viable, much less attractive. The Vietnamese know this as well.
