I don't understand your logic here. You asked why Kerry did not support Desert Storm and then you proceeded to answer it by implying that the war was not a succes anyway since it did not result in Saddam's overthrow.

My take is that "how" Senior went to war was good but probably the objective which was clearl defined was something that Kerry disagreed with.

In the case of "Junior", how he went to war is what Kerry disagrees with but he voted to remove Saddam and authorized to give Bush the power to decide how and when.

So here you go. You made a strong case for Kerry. Thank you.

Beause "Desert Shield" was already in place and literally 50% of the Senate voted to extend Shield before opting for Desert Storm. After the vote for Storm was evident, 100% of the Senate voted to endorse it....
