"Kill as many terrorist as possible, wipe out the old Saddam supporters and move on. It's a hell of lot better these ignorant terrorists come into Iraq and fight than shipped to US through canada or mexico to bomb us.

Buddy what do you propose , cut and run?"

I have heard that silly arguement over and over from the right, but exactly what is it about our presence in Iraq, that precludes Al Quida from going here or anywhere else in the world to attack us. It's not like we have them sealed within the borders of Iraq! Far as I've heard, Al Quida is only a small element in Iraq attacking us, although their numbers grow everyday from the recruitment bonanza of the occupation.

"the war was tied to free the country saddam invaded not to capture saddam."

Yep. The goal was to put the undemocratic Kuwaiti Royals back in power....

"the thought also was Saddam would not remain in power , but he did."

Well, they were clearly mistaken in that belief.

Also, when the President gave his speech to the world, and called on the Kurds and Shiites to rise up and over-throw Saddam, and promised them US support in that effort --- then stood by and watched them get SLAUGHTERED by Saddam's forces... it was one of the most DISGRACEFUL events in the history of the Presidency. Even worse then the Bay of Pigs, where at least our broken promises had not been TELEVISED to the entire world.
