2005 is the year of the cellphone for SNDK and I think it is awesome that Samsung is buying mini-SD from SanDisk.

Aus,

The transition of the handset market to removable flash designs is glaring, but the card sales for this market aren't there yet, so the design transition sits just below the radar screen. However, the stock chart indicates we aren't the only ones that notice. Even better, the faster wireless networks will enable MP3 handsets, as this is a download-intensive application that is not feasible without the peak data rates of EV-DO and WCDMA/HSDPA. If MP3 becomes anywhere near the handset standard cameras have become......well I can't count that high<vbg>

PS - Of course there are other ways to get songs to the handset(Bluetooth, a cable, etc.). If those designs take off, all the better.

Aus - Leica M series - anyone seen any news about a new d-camera that uses all the M series lenses due to be relased around the end of the year?

Best,

L
