Who told you that? The White House? Rush Limbaugh? If you have any basis to make the absurd statement that Iraq is producing 3 times more electricity now than under Saddam, I'd like to know the source. Here's my sources to the contrary, that Iraq is producing below prewar levels.

-from the GAO...In 13 of Iraq's 18 provinces, electricity was available fewer hours per day on average last month than before the war. Nearly 20 million of Iraq's 26 million people live in those provinces.

A major failure of Iraq's CPA over the last year was its inability to increase electricity production over pre-war levels. Iraq's electricity production has been stalled between 3,000 and 4,000 megawatts (See the attached chart from the Brooking Institution), well short of the CPA goal of 6,000 megawatts.
