Jeb Bush did a very fine job of communicating with the public, nobody could have done better. I give him an A+ in dealing with the storms.

But the misery index has been, and remains, very high here. Aside from physical misery, the storms have played hell with businesses' cash flow, particulary small businesses. Storms come and go, but you still have to pay your bills at the end of the month.

Who cares about pre debate polls? Not the campaigns.
They know everything is subject to abrupt change now.

Of course Bush is ahead in Florida. The hurricanes really helped him and he took full advantage. But will that hold up five weeks from now? Probably not. Besides, any president would be helping the hurricane victims.
