Kerry did excellent tonight. He looked and sounded presidential. His answers were polished, articulate, and sound. Bush came across as defensive. Bush's responses were mostly reactive and incoherent. They didn't seem to have a beginning, middle or end. Oftentimes, I had to think a few seconds before I connected what Bush was saying back to the question that was asked. Kerry was much more clear.

I think Kerry scored serious points tonight and that will start showing up in the polls in a few days.

I heard on the radio today, they did a study, with folks watching a debate with the sound on, and off. And both groups agreed on the winner.

With the sound off, Kerry wins.

Before or after the debates? <g>
