Merck and Vioxx! Gee. I wonder if those whose hearts and brains were damaged by this $2.5B drug think it's ok to NOT HAVE lawyers like Edwards on their side.

I don't think medical science has a clue as to the cause and cures for chronic illnesses or disorders. As far as I can tell: sugar, refined or processed foods, some fats (but not all), hormones, preservatives and bacteria are all pretty dang bad to ingest :).

What was amazing about Spurlock is the speed with which this fit, young guy developed all kinds of life-threatening conditions. He was gaining weight at the rate of nearly a pound a day by eating at Mickey D's (at 2 times his normal caloric rate) exclusively and not exercising.

He also did this really interesting experiment in which he placed food in glass jars to see how it disintegrated. Actually, the McDonald's fries...didn't...at all...over weeks and weeks.

I think those are preservatives masquerading as potatoes....shocking. I'd bet that if people simply stopped drinking soda and put foot to pavement once a day, we'd stop being the heaviest people around. Note that TEXAS, home of Bushies, has the largest number of heaviest cities in the US. Houston used to be the fattest but has given that up to Detroit.
