>> I am so happy about this news.

I know you are. But I don't equate "winning the debate" with being the better candidate. I think Bush started out really strong, but caved about 1/3 or 1/2 way through.

I remain hopeful that the liberal media will report some of the crap Kerry came up with. NBC has a "fact checking" squad that has already reported a couple of Kerry lies. But whether that makes the media tomorrow is a different question.

Bush is a horrible speaker. Unfortunately, I think many Americans are so shallow they can't look a little more deeply into the candidates' remarks. But if you consider his response to Kerry's "policy" of getting other nations to join us in Iraq, Bush really scored big on this major issue -- essentially shooting down Kerry's plan by pointing out that you aren't going to get these countries to join us in a war that was the "Wrong war, wrong place, wrong time" and should never have been fought. Bush clear won the point while Kerry won on style.

Bush had him on the ropes but failed to deliver the knockout punch. I think Bush's task gets much harder after tonight.
