Ted, Much like your posts......your memory of the past is rather GOP alternative.

Nice try, Ted. I too once thought that the arms race was the wrong thing to do back when Reagan was president. Then the Berlin Wall fell, the Soviet Union broke up, and I started realizing, "What if Reagan was right?"

And wonder if it didn't matter what Reagan was right or wrong? The USSR had been in power since 1920. Do you really think that in 8 years, Reagan was able to deal them the death blow [60 years after their birth]? If he did, it had to be psychological because since the sixties, we have had a nuclear arsenal that would have obliterated the world three times over and so did they. The arms race was pretty much over when Reagan got into office.

Even Gorbachev says that Reagan was not the USSR's downfall.

That's why the memory is fresh in my mind, because I used to think the way liberals thought back then. Nowadays, liberals have gone way off the charts in their lunacy and hatred, and I'm glad I hopped off that train years ago.

There is no lunacy. As for the hatred, there is good reason. There also is fear which never gets mentioned.
