In the ABC poll, 36 % thought Bush won, but 35% of those polled were Republican. Assuming the usual partisan hubris, he would receive most of the support of Republicans. Kerry receieved 45%, and again 35% of those polled were Democrats. This suggests that Kerry was 10 times mores effective than Bush with people who did not have a knee jerk response to the debate. It was a decisive victory for Kerry. I could not believe, looking at Bush, that he was the President of the United States. Kerry showed his potential to be a far superior President. This election is now up for grabs.
