I agree that Kerry won on style points.

I think Bush should have been more aggressive
in his own defense.

I only watched a few minutes since I couldn't get good
reception on the TV at the office, but I had the
feeling I get in trial when my client or witness
is being cross-examined. I wished I could just testify
for them...:-) I always know what happened better
than people who were there............

I did not view it as defensive, but rather Bush rebutting each of kerry's attempts at cutting the administration's performance. I was disappointed that Bush wasn't more aggressive. He wasn't in the debate with Gore either.

Bush failed to use 9/11 and its aftermath ot his advantage. And he should have shined the light more directly on kerry's flip flops by specifically pointing out a couple.

Overall, I saw it as a draw. kerry gets points for being aggressive for high quality BS when he was tossing around "his numbers".

Oh I think Kerry scored some points and perhaps my dislike of him keeps it a draw in my mind. But he definitely did not deal a strong blow which he needed to do so I would still call it a Kerry loss because of that.
