What does Full text search have to do with the valuation of a chat site as an investment tool? Since there is considerably more discussion on non stock specific threads There is a wealth of information and knowledge posted by SIers on non stock specific threads. Often times this same information is not posted on a stock specific thread. Especially when searching for information on smaller cap stocks. Also, if there is a stock on the move and you can't find any news on your stock/financial sites You can more times than not find the reason by doing a full text search here on SI. There are a good number of other factors, reasons, indicators I can use by doing a full text search. So you can put me firmly in the camp of "full text search" being of paramount importance for an investment chat site. But I'm gonna bide my time for now and just wait and see what Bob rolls out with the advanced search. If it something like what he did over at Ihub than we'll be all the better for waiting.
