Kerry accomplished the following:

1) He demonstrated that he could present his position to the American people with polish and style. He was respectful, comfortable, and professional in his manner. He was bold in his stance and defended himself as unwavering in character and conduct.

This is in stark contrast to what is presented by his supporters on many of these threads where his constituency comes across as costically mendacious.

2) He was able to let the American people get to know him as a diplomat as opposed to the over the edge hippie image most had been harboring.

It now comes down to whether or not the American people have confidence in his positions and abilities as apposed to Bush.

We finally have an actual choice being presented. I am not sure if he has much of a real chance but if he does; my guess is that the left wing radicals will blow it for him
