Man, this thread is dead without the Republicans. They've scattered like rats on the wrong end of a snub nosed shotgun. lol. However, I see stevo is back! I listen to Rush for a while today, and he sounded (on a releative basis) seriously depressed. That's because he's off the drugs. lol. Very defensive. That's because Bush didn't do as well as expected. Ted, it struck me, one difference between the far right and the far left. The far (neo) right seems to deify their heros, they make them out to be almost infallible. They have Reagan as almost a God like person. Criticizing Reagan is like critizing Jesus. The far right wants a perfect world. They are idealists. They definitely like their leaders. However, I think of the right as more pragmatic and cynical. The left, on the other hand, seems to accept that these are just folks, with human emotions, and mistakes. They figure let's muddle along as best we can, and try to make lemons into lemonade. Let's make incremental progress. Let's try to make the world a better place with baby steps. The left is just more fun all the way around. We're just fun people! <g> It seems to me to be a very fundamental difference in the way both sides look at the world. Black/White v. shade of gray. Yeah, that's true.

The biggest difference between the far left and the far right is that the far left have five major network TV news channels that are simpatico. There is no conservative TV news. The far right finds the nightly humor reports on your liberal clacks laughable. When Dan Rather Biased speaks we C-BS. At the beginning of the alphabet there is A-BS. In the middle of the alphabet there is N-BS. You love Kerry King on the LNN. Don't even talk about Pee-BS. From other boards, my observation is that most conservatives treat people of other opinions with respect. On some other boards, many liberals offensively slander people who hold different opinions. If that pattern repeats itself here, you wil be quickly missing this conservative. BTW - A have been an AMD user for years.
