I doubt that anyone in this country wishes that the post conflict in Iraq did not go more peacefully. Didn't anyone watch the movie Red Dawn where the Russians attempted to occupy the US? Any invasion of outside force will be met with brute force. We have negotiotiated with the leaders to give them political force and power. That was a tragic precedent.

Buffet and Gates and the rest of the Hollywood empire can afford to be armchair liberals. For the rest of us, we must rely on the brute force that is currently demanded. Personally, I think that the Democrats are personally dividing themselves from the harsh reality of the conflict to suggest a room for negotiotion where there is no legal precedent.
