How or where do you look to find which way the wind will be coming from for the day

Go to: weather.com

Insert your own zip code and click go. Bookmark that site for future use.

Scroll down to the 10 day forecast and click on "today"...in the left column.

You can do that for each of the 10 days and get the wind forecast.

You can figure it out quickly with a compass too.
My family members keep a compass, map book, fallout zone calculator and telephone list in their cars.

I was thinking about Nuclear, Biological and Chemical material when I wrote the book, but the principles apply to volcanoes too and I'm glad you realized that. For a quick refresher reread chapter 4, pages 17-23.

The Weather Channel does pretty good. Local weather on the
8's (every 10 minutes, 8, 18, 28, ect., after the hour). You
can also go to << weather.com >> & get
the weather for any part of the country you want.
