Andrew, for past 4yrs the national media has poked fun at GW's verbal skills therefore the debate viewers didn't expect him to suddenly gain silver-tongued eloquence. That's why they hoenstly answered poll questions crediting Kerry with a technical debate win. However, that alone didn't convince voters that Kerry has the crucial personal characteristics that Americans expect in their President. The senator demonstrated control of his talking points while Pres Bush's core convictions & strong determination shone through. Americans value Bush's substance over Kerry's style. Hence poll results continue to give Bush the edge.

Agreed... voters aren't looking for a good debater that looks pretty on television, voters aren't looking for a game show debater... the voters want someone who is clear, concise, and to the point... kerry is just another "pretty boy," but he's obviously not Presidential material... if we get attacked again, most voters will want Bush in the White House, and not Hanoi john...
