I was not writing about their respective personal existences. I was referring to political free rides and passes enjoyed by Bush. Such "freebies" have, no doubt, stunted his ability to think on his own, on his feet, the other night. Kerry's parents were not rich and could not afford to send him to law school. Kerry was lucky to have, if I am not mistaken, a childless aunt with sufficient means to send him to Yale. I am quite sure that had Kerry been a bad student, she would not have bothered to help him. Evidently, his aunt felt that Kerry deserved to be helped. Indeed, while at Yale, he did well: he was no bookworm and he involved himself with many interests. As for Bush, his father helped him get into the TANG to save him from certain harm/death in Vietnam! Then his family connections helped to get him into an oil business which he mismanaged (not surprising from what we now know about his clumsiness and poor abilities.) Then again his family and business connections helped him become governor of Texas in which role he did very little apart from sending jailbirds to the beyond. Later in 2000, skullduggery enabled him to steal the election. And now 9/11 helps him capitalize on fear to help him get another 4 years in the WH. To be sure, Bush, on his own, had achieved very little. By contrast, Kerry had an uphill fight all his life and he survived and succeeded against great odds all through the years. That he is now a presidential candidate speaks volumes regarding his personal courage and determination to succeed. Methinks too much has been speculated about Kerry being pampered by his wealthy heiress-wives. Suffice it to say some men are very lucky in love. But Kerry was not lucky, at least not with his first wife. She married him because she was "smitten" by him or so it was alleged. Then they found they were incompatible: he is an outgoing extrovert while she is too much of an introvert. (The saying, "To marry in haste is to repent at leisure" applied to them to a tee!) But, anyway, give them credit for having stayed together until their daughters were grown up! As for Kerry's second wife, Theresa, it appears they have a compatible marriage. But don't forget that Theresa made Kerry sign a prenuptial agreement. This means he does not have easy and ready access to her money. This fact might comfort those who are jealous of Kerry! So, you see, Kerry was not as spoilt as you and other detractors would like folks to believe Kerry was a pampered man. Why do so many like you seek to ensure Kerry will not be elected? Many reasons including the morbid fear of the rich and powerful that their apple carts and gravy trains would be upset and the fear that Kerry might not be a lackey of Israel as Bush has been!
