This presidnet looked tired of being a president. Releif is coming.
What an image this supposedly "strong leader" projected. Tired, empty, annoyed with nothing to say, but a few worn out repetitious phrases.
Is this the man of convictions, passionate about where he stands ? Or an empty shell full of Karl Rove propaganda phrases, who couldn't stand his own ground against a strong opponent ?

I think it is remarkable to see anyone state that one candidate vs. the other is "not working" at their elected job. Mr. Bush flies all over the country to events that are nothing more than campaign stops. Because we provide by law that a large chunk of the executive branch moves with the President where ever he goes, it is a little easier for Mr. Bush to give the impression of doing his job while on the stump than it is for Kerry. Sadly, the rest of the legislative branch is not dependent on his sole beck and call.

This has been true ever since Presidents actually starting campaigning for re-election, a relatively recent phenomenon in our history (Truman?). Just a fact of life...but whether Clinton, Reagan, Bush or Carter....Air Force One and all that follows it makes going to Nascar races AND doing the job just a bit easier.

I remember the complaints in 2000 that Bush was not governing Texas....same old, same old.

"I'll admit the President looked tired"

C'mon! Pres Bush has taken more holidays than any previous President.

Look if he can't handle the job then he shouldn't be attempting to do it.

"Bin Laden Determined to strike in America" but Bush was so exhausted he had to take the next five weeks off instead of do anything about it.

It's really beginning to look like Bush is just in too far over his head. Let Kerry, the real man with a chest full of medals, take the wheel and Bush can go have a rest.
