Oh come on, Peter. Kerry was motivated to make peace with Vietnam along with McCain and Glenn because it was the right thing to do. We were the last country in the world that hadn't mde peace with them and they were no threat to us at all. It was a thankless task. Creeps on the far right were calling them traitors the whole time. They had to slog it out in the backc country of Nam inspecting old POW sites. At one point, they wept together. That is why McCain and Kerry are so close despite McCain's half-hearted support for Bush. Kerry didn't make a dime out of it. If his brother made some, it's not even in the same hemisphere as the gross corruption of Bush-Enron, Cheney-Halliburton, Lott-WorldCom and of course the most corrupt of them all, Tom DElay, whose people fund the smearvets.
