My old friend, LOL, there is no question that Patriot Act I has restriced freedom. The cases are working their way through the courts now that were generated because of the unconstitutional laws in PA I. Just Sept 30th US District Judge Victor Marrero struck down a provision of the Patriot Act that authorized the FBI to force internet service providers and phone companies to turn over customer records and forbid them from telling the customers. The Patriot Act is really the unPatriotic Act. It attacks the constitution, not terrorists. I don't think we need to change the face of America because of a few deranged terrorists. And its been shown that the US Government dropped the ball on fighting terrorists before 9-11. Let the blame fall where it should. George Bush who ignored memo's warning of attacks and was on vacation until the day before 9-11, golfing and fishing. And PA II could not be passed so the Bush admin (Ashcroft) broke it up and sent it through congress piecemeal riding in other bills. TIA (Total Information Awareness) was banned by law in Congress and funding cancelled. But the real T-Rex of PA I, the Dept of Homeland Security (American Gestapo) is here to stay and no one is ever going to get rid of it. DHS will be the undoing of freedom in America. Just watch.
