if we go to on line voting they should be able to tie it to a unique password, email address etc to at least stop massive fraud.

Its a matter of convenience Vs security. Technology exists to guarantee security. More often than not, it does not get used because of (in)convenience factors.

john C, In Florida (and don't laugh), voters will be required to have photo ID, and a sample of their signature, before they will be allowed to vote. The signature proof has to be on a document that can be verified. The driver's licenses here, have our signatures on them, and are laminated before we receive them. That is a pretty secure process.
