Are you blind ? It was obvious to anyone that the administration desperately wanted to go to war. And they rushed as fast as they could.

Yes, but the president knew or came to know, as he prepared for war that there was no "slam dunk" evidence proving that Saddam Hussien was a threat to America. That Iraq was a threat to the United States was the reason for going to war. There was plenty of covert action (leading up to the war) and none of it came up with hard evidence to show that America should fear Iraq. But the president had made up his mind in the immediate aftermath of 9/11 (likely before) that SH had to be deposed. He had Cheney and crew telling him what SH was capable of, but none had proof, only hearsay, conjecture... maybe and agenda...
