If you recall the CIA activity of the 1970s it was mostly overthrowing popular governments to put in place dictators. That kind of activity should be almost eliminated.

Does ignoring other people's comments and declaring yourself the "winner" usually work for you?

Don't you think it better if other democratic societies 1)understand the reason for, and 2)support US military actions abroad?

The objective answer would be 'yes'. Why wouldn't you want likeminded people to understand and support your actions?
